Squonk Opera-Pneumatica Show
Pneumatica is an event about air, made of air and powered by air. The Squonkers pump up the volume with live original music that permeates the air, while inflatables pump up and immerse the audience. Figures and tentacles grow, powered by blowers and vortex fans, and culminate in the 40-foot high Lady Pneumatica who incorporates a wind turbine on her head. She blossoms with sails, breathing steam and raising her inflated arms to the sky. Squonk's music incorporates the swoops and eddies of air with electronic bagpipes and a vertical accordion that is Lady Pneumatica's lungs, played like a piano while it rises and falls with her breath. Playing with visual puns, air is used to activate costumes Ð Squonkers inflate like blowfish and musically activate headtubes with wild guitar and bass riffs. With the creation of Pneumatica, the Squonkers continue to pursue the most American and democratic of art forms: the public celebration, with boisterous music and surreal image. Squonk taunts and whispers, bellows and caresses, using the very medium of sound: air.

The band (and each member) always displayed a very high level of musicianship at every performance. Kelly Unplugged
My repertoire covers favorites from the classic rock era such as The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkle, James Taylor and Jim Croce, to the newer pop hits of today. (See song list) In addition to guitar and vocals I play harmonicas, thereby adding an extra "voice" to my sound. I also utilize a loop sampler. This is a footswitch-controlled echo effect, which allows me to play two or more guitar parts simultaneously. Because it "echoes" the phrase that I have just played, nothing is pre-recorded, and each show is one-of-a-kind. This means that I have a fuller, bigger sound and can play a wider variety of music than many would expect from a soloist.

Over the decade-long journey from their first incarnation as 13 and 14 year old kids in Fort Worth, to the upcoming release of their latest EP, Chasing Down the Wind, Green River Ordinance (GRO) has evolved steadily. Chasing Down the Wind features the continued growth of GRO's honest, hopeful songwriting, and soaring harmonies. Written on the banks of the Caney Fork River in rural Tennessee, their new EP captures the spirit and freedom that comes from escaping the rush of the big city and rediscovering the simple things in life. Walking the lines of country, rock, pop and folk, GRO is a band that constantly challenges the borders of genre; however, as their music continues to mature and change, GRO still holds true to the pursuit of music that speaks to the soul and moves your feet.

The Rhythmators
Originally from Fort Worth, The Rhythmators first came together as sidemen for Texas roadhouse legend Delbert McClinton. Originally known as PUMP, with fellow Texan Randy Cobb on guitar. The band’s first regular gigs were in Colorado. They were so well received that they stayed on, much to the delight of the ski towns where their brand of Texas Soul Rockin’ Blues was a hit. They based out of Colorado for more than two years, developing their own style. When the opportunity to play with national acts came, they went their separate ways settling in different parts of the country. Clifton went to North Carolina, working the east coast to Key West, Dohoney to Los Angeles, CA and Stockton back to Texas via New Orleans, but they remained in touch. After touring with national and international acts, recording for major labels and on various television and film scores, as well as being in demand session players, the three Texans have come full circle to reunite as THE RHYTHMATORS. They are currently established on the DFW music scene as an R&B group performing their original music, as well as arrangements of blues and soul classics.

Bedouin is the Arabic name for the desert Gypsies who travel from place to place, picking up bits and pieces of culture and infusing it into their own distinct identity. American Bedouin is Buddy Mohmed's critically acclaimed Dallas band that incorporates bits and pieces of music from around the world, and around our neighborhood, and fuses it into their own musical identity. Incorporating styles from Africa, the Middle-East, Greece, India, Europe and beyond; mixing them with the American tradition of Jazz and Blues improvisation, American Bedouin creates an exciting acoustical blend of rich textures, exotic melodies and soaring virtuosity. American Bedouin recently completed a six week run at the historic "Lamb's Theater" in New York. Leader Buddy Mohmed can perform the American Bedouin repertoire as a solo, or lead a band of two to seven of the best musicians in DFW.

Bodie Powell & Borderline
If you ask Bodie Powell where he was born he'll tell you Nashville, TN but got to Texas as fast as he could. He grew up in Music City but as soon as he started touring Texas he knew this was where he was meant to be. Bodie has been around country music all of his life. In the early years, Opry stars Ernie Ashworth and Red Sovine were his neighbors and their children were his playmates. Many times he accompanied his friends to the concerts where the country music greats performed. It wasn't long before Bodie knew that this was what he wanted to learn how to do, so his parents bought him a guitar and he and his friends formed a band. Straight out of High School, he started touring all over the US and Canada playing bass and fronting for different stars of the day. These stars included Dave Dudley, Razzy Bailey, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, Wanda Jackson, and Susan Raye.

Brave Combo
Trying to describe Brave Combo's music requires a pretty extensive vocabulary - at least when it comes to musical styles. For the past three decades the Denton, Texas based quintet has perfected a world music mix that includes salsa, meringue, rock, cumbia, conjunto, polka, zydeco, classical, cha cha, the blues and more. They are America's Premier Dance band and a rollicking, rocking, rhythmic global journey - offering what one critic recently wrote, ÒEven if you come for the party, you'll leave with something of a musical education.Ó Brave Combo's catalog of recordings range from Japanese pop to Latin American dance tunes, to the orchestral classics to rock and roll at its finest. The band has recorded with the late Tiny Tim, and were the band Talking Head's David Byrne chose for his wedding reception. From festivals and fairs of all varieties across the globe, rock clubs big and small, colleges, roadhouses, dances, cultural centers (including the annual Midsummer Night's Swing at Lincoln Center in New York City) Brave Combo has charmed countless listeners and won avid devotees. The band has won two Grammy Awards and been nominated for their work 7 times.

Robben Ford
Robben Ford is one of the premier electric guitarists today, particularly known for his blues playing, as well as his ability to be comfortable in a variety of musical contexts. A five-time Grammy nominee, he has played with artists as diverse as Joni Mitchell, Jimmy Witherspoon, Miles Davis, George Harrison, Phil Lesh, Bonnie Raitt, Michael McDonald, Bob Dylan, John Mayall, Greg Allman, John Scofield, Susan Tedeschi, Keb Mo, Larry Carlton, Mavis Staples, Brad Paisley, and many others. Born in 1951 in Woodlake, California, and raised in Ukiah, Robben was the third of four sons in a musical family. His father Charles was a country and western singer and guitarist before entering the army and marrying Kathryn, who played piano and had a lovely singing voice. Robben's first chosen instrument was the saxophone, which he began to play at age ten and continued to play into his early twenties. He began to teach himself guitar at age thirteen upon hearing the two guitarists from The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Michael Bloomfield and Elvin Bishop. In the late 1960's, Ford frequented the Fillmore and Winterland auditoriums in San Francisco to see Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Albert King, B.B. King and all of the progenitors of blues. ÒIt was an incredible time for electric guitar,Ó Robben recalls. On his interest in jazz, Robben says,Ó I fell in love with the sax-playing of Paul Desmond and The Dave Brubeck Quartet, and before long found Ornette Coleman, Archie Shepp, Yusef Lateef, Roland Kirk, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, and of course, Miles Davis.Ó These influences have stayed with Robben, playing a large part in his particular blend of jazz and blues that define him as a guitarist and allow him to play in a wide variety of settings.

His deep rich voice hits tones that set him apart from the pack while his acoustic guitar sings warm rich tones of it's own. Sante Fe Line
The Santa Fe Line name was derived from the Santa Fe Station in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. The history of the station dates back to March 1, 1899. Over the years it has experienced many changes that each tell a story, and still stands today as a Texas landmark. Having performed together off and on for over 30 years, this band is a product of life experiences, weaving a mix of traditional and contemporary music that we enjoy putting forth for not only the listener, but ourselves as well. Whether performing a cover song from the Eagles, Will Alan Ramsey, Bill Monroe, the Plain White Tee’s or one of our hand crafted original compositions, you’ll hear a band that is unique. You might call us Progressive Roots or Newgrass, but whatever it may be,  we hope you’ll catch us at our next venue. Hilary Tipps and Steve Obermiller – a match made in Fort Worth, Texas. Unknowingly connected for decades through friends in and out of the music business, when they finally met sparks flew - musical and otherwise. Through the years they have played, written and recorded with musicians and producers associated with heavyweights such as The Wallflowers, Alanis Morissette, and Chuck Rainey. Growing up in the heart of Texas their respect for the songwriter on the stool runs deep. But they prefer to start with Steve’s penchant for rock and roll and old school R&B grooves; add in Hilary’s crystal crisp vocals, then bring it back around to that songwriter on the stool. Now you’ve got an idea of what their music is about.

Zach Balch
Zach Balch may have grown up in a flat West Texas town where nobody locks their doors, but his sharp wit, thought provoking words and driving ambition stretch much further. After trading small town life for the bustle of the Dallas metroplex, Zach's acoustic folk sound took a bluesy-pop turn, culminating in an alt-country sensibility that artists like Ryan Adams and Pete Yorn are known for. When onstage with the rest of the band, pianist Ryan Pool, drummer Aaron Hass, percussionist Nathan Ziehm, bassist Robert Willis and guitarists Adam Roye and Tyler Martin, Zach Balch and The Company take on an electrifying big-city dimension. The result is the personal prose of David Ramirez meets the clever, full-bodied Alt-Country/Rock of Ryan Adams, served up with a satisfying helping of the Blues.

Christopher Blake
At first listen, the work of artist Christopher Blake exemplifies that of an accomplished performer. However, upon further examination, one soon discovers his considerable talents as a songwriter and producer. | Hailing from Arlington Texas, Christopher has been writing and performing live since the age of 14. Originally taken by the raw energy and honesty of Nirvana and Green Day, he soon discovered the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix. However, Blake is equally influenced by current artists such as Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars, plus a variety of hip hop, indie pop, and jazz artists. | All of these influences can be heard in Christopher's current release, Weekend Love. Blake's sound is most readily described as a combination of blues, pop, r&b, smooth jazz, and hip hop. However, there is more, something deeper, often more mysterious. One listen to ÒCold Hearted WomenÓ from Weekend Love instantly transports you to a rainy night's drive on a long stretch of highway. ÒFalling in Your ArmsÓ reveals his roots as a guitarist and acoustic musician. ÒHer LoveÓ typifies the unique storyteller in Christopher; Deep lyrically, while maintain amazing accessibility. As one reviewer stated, Blake is ÒJohn Mayer with a twist of Adam LevineÉPure Gold.Ó | In spite of his stylistic diversity and lyrical complexity, one common thread runs through Blake's songs: His ever-present pop hook sensibility. In short, they take hold quickly, and stay with you the rest of the day. His songs seem to be written with the melody in mind, not just the meaning behind the words. Undoubtedly, all of his works bear the mark of Christopher Blake. Singer. Producer. Artist.

Texas native Robert Froehner specializes in two unusual and rarely-performed instruments--the musical saw and theremin. This innovative DFW musician appears in a wide variety of venues ranging from orchestral and other large ensemble performances, to recitals, conventions, banquets, and private parties. He has won international musical saw competitions on three occasions, and has recorded for commercials and film. Robert is also proficient on the theremin, the world's first electronic musical instrument and the only musical instrument played without touch. By careful use of aerial fingering within two electromagnetic fields he is able to play the instrument using only the electricity of his own body. Robert's repertoire ranges from classical to pop, country, rock, jazz, and other genres. He has appeared on several occasions with the Dallas Symphony, as well as the Pacific Symphony, the United States Coast Guard Band, the Texas Wind Symphony, East Texas Symphony, Metropolitan Winds of Dallas, and other ensembles. When singing, the human voice carries much more than just the words it speaks. It carries the land it grew up on, the people it grew up with, and the accent it was born into. A voice can speak to the sound of the land. On his new Americana album, One Shot, Austin songwriter Josh Halverson beautifully channels the wide-open vistas of his home roots in the Texas panhandle. His luminous voice rings clear over these audio landscapes, resonating with unusual clarity and honesty. It's a voice you'll remember, from a young songwriter poised to move into the national spotlight. ÒJust gimme one shot/to show you who I amÓ he sings on the title track, and after listening to Josh Halverson's new album, you will feel like you know him. | Growing up the son of a cattle rancher and a Sioux Indian, Halverson's a true native son of Texas. Although he had played piano since the age of five, he had no plans to pursue a career in music until he was captivated by a Gavin DeGraw performance while attending college. Years later, Halverson still clearly remembers the epiphany he experienced that night: ÒGavin was so transparent onstage, as if he put his heart and soul on the table for the audience to see. I thought to myself, 'This is what I'm supposed to do with my life.'Ó The day after the concert, Halverson began teaching himself the guitar and started writing his own songs. Now living in Austin, Texas, but still only in his 20s, Halverson's proved himself to be an uncommonly adept songwriter. Charting the bounds of the human heart, he approaches time-honored topics like heartbreak and devotion with a sense of hard-won innocence. And that's the seeming paradox at the core of his music: the tension between bitter wisdom and the need to preserve a sense of wonder at the world.

Poo Live Crew
Poo Live Crew, how do you sum up such a band? How about long hard practices, intense stylistic studies, tons of research, hours of theoretical training, and gallons of beer. PLC is all that minus the intense stylistic studies, tons of research, long hard practices, and hours of theoretical training. We're heading in a new direction and trying to do something not every cover band does. Our goal was to come up with a set list second-to-none, carefully engineered, and put together in 8.5 minutes. Actually, the Poo set is a carefully constructed plethora of music from 1968 to 98. Not to exclude any genre. The Poo mixes in eighties, pop rock, love ballads, new wave, country, pop Divas, and even sitcom themes.

Kyle Redd
Kyle Redd is a Fort Worth Americana artist. His current album "Kyle Redd" was recorded at Wavelight Studios in Handley, Tx and released in March of 2011. Combining a mixture of country, folk and blues, it has been a huge debut success for Kyle. Kyle began his music career in Houston, Tx after touring the country as an actor and performer. Coming back home proved a challenge, namely trying to find a sound that fit his personality. After playing around for a while, Kyle got his first break when he went on the road with the Kim Carson band out of New Orleans. Kyle toured the bayou, the gulf states and eventually Europe with the "Honky Tonk Queen". Eventually his music took him to Cowtown. He began playing with his father-in-law, local legend, Bodie Powell. Kyle continues to write and play for the north Texas crowds. A fan of folk and country, Kyle's biggest influences include Lyle Lovett, John Hiatt, and Kevin Welch. You can follow Kyle on facebook at www.facebook.com/kyle.redd.31

Penny and Sparrow
Penny & Sparrow is American singer-songwriter duo of Andy Baxter and Kyle Jahnke out of Austin, Texas. Formed in 2011 after living as roommates at the University of Texas, the duo began their musical endeavor as a hobby and creative outlet. Their first tune, ÒCreatureÓ was recorded in a small apartment behind an orphanage with one microphone and a laptop. ÒIf you listen closely, you can hear kids screaming and laughing in the background of each song,Ó says Baxter. ÒAfter just one song, we knew writing and recording was something we didn't want to stop doing.Ó Through the years, Penny & Sparrow has steadily grown both in discography and audience. While the instrumentation in each of the three released albums (Creature (2011), Tenboom (2013), Struggle Pretty (2014)) may differ, Penny & Sparrow has garnered a reputation of blending sincere lyrics with haunting melodies and harmonies in every song. The raw and emotive quality of their songs has been known to push crowds to near silence for an entire set.

Keiko Matsui
Matsui's music is powerful and introspective, blending both Western and Eastern musical influences. She has a very spiritual view of composing music, feeling out each composition as though it were, in her words, "coming to me from another space, another dimension," and "catching notes from the silence and then simply placing them together.Ó Matsui sees music as "the great gifts from the human souls from the past, for the children of the future.Ó She believes that music has a power to bring people together and change their lives. "We are connected by music," Matsui wrote, "as the Ocean connects the continents.Ó A lover of nature, Matsui often makes reference to plants, animals, the elements, and other natural features and phenomena in her song titles. She shows a special fascination with the moon as a number of her compositions refer to the moon in their titles.

Joshua Ingram
Joshua Ingram was born and raised in Texas and has been making music for more than 20 years. With his training in voice, piano, and percussion he has been able to invent his own style of writing and guitar playing that makes his sound unique and interesting. After studying for three years at the University of North Texas, he has set out to write music about life and play with as many people in as many places as he can. | Joshua has been influenced by a number of musicians in countless styles of music and that is apparent when you hear the blend of rock, blues, jazz, and even country in the songs that he writes. Whether it's a sultry ballad or a ripping guitar rock tune the music is full of soul and emotion. | Ingram has had a love affair with the acoustic guitar for most of his life and feels that, unlike its electric counterpart, the instrument can breathe and express the emotions that sometimes words cannot. Make no mistake about it though; a Joshua Ingram show will not be folky or frail because the fierceness with which he approaches this typically docile instrument. | Whether with a full band or solo, the show is full of energy and passion from someone who takes entertainment seriously, but not too seriously! Joshua Ingram is a talented singer/songwriter and an inspired performer.

Carlos D. Saenz began Latin Express in 1975 as a senior at Northside High School in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1979 he added his brother Leo who at the time was 14 years old and attending Trimble Tech High School. Since then, Carlos and Leo's children and nephews have become band members as well. Latin Express continues to be a main stay in the Dallas-Fort Worth Tejano music scene. Not only well known for Tejano, but also R&B, Latin Jazz and Salsa. One of the main reasons for the group's longevity, is the group's dedication to tradition and musical values that are rarely seen today. For example the group continues to perform with a full horn section composed of trumpets, trombones, and saxes, with a tight knit rhythm section of bass, guitar, drums and keyboards, and four vocalists. Therefore, they are able to play many musical varieties at moments notice.

Robert Froehner
He has also performed at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Six Flags Over Texas, the Grapevine Opry, the Texas Folklike Festival, Fort Worth's Main Street Arts Festival, Taste of Dallas, and the Frisco Roughriders ballpark.

Marion Meadows
Born in West Virginia, saxophonist Marion Meadows grew up in Stamford, CT, where he began playing clarinet and studying classical music at age 8. He naturally gravitated to the soprano sax in his high school years, and his passion for various types of music led him to appreciate numerous jazz musicians, including Stanley Turrentine, Sidney Bichet, Johnny Hodges, Duke Ellington and Coleman Hawkins. ÓAfter studying jazz with Anthony Truglia, Meadows attended Berklee College of Music, where he majored in arranging and composition. He later went to the SUNY Purchase School for the Arts. ÒI got a lot of sideman jobs in college, and I have always said I got a graduate degree playing clubs,Ó says Meadows, who perfected his craft studying with Joe Henderson, Dave Liebman and Eddie Daniels. ÒNot long after I finished school, (drummer) Norman Connors recorded my song 'Invitation' and then asked me to join his band. I later produced his Passion album with him. Things just fell into place.ÓMeadows first hit the airwaves in 1991 with For Lovers Only, but his career really began one day in the late '80s at New York's Grand Central Station. He had been a sideman with Connors for three years, with only vague notions of eventually going solo. One day, while waiting for a train, he pulled out his horn and began playing under the huge dome. His sweet sound caught the attention of fellow traveler and TV composer Jay Chattaway, who was so impressed that he hooked Meadows up with legendary keyboardist Bob James. James signed Meadows to a deal with his TappanZee label, and though Meadows' first recording went unreleased, the experience put him on the road to his eventual success.Meadows hooked up with numerous artists and musicians and became a well known sideman in his own right, recording or performing over the years with Brook Benton, Eartha Kitt, Phyllis Hyman, Jean Carne, The Temptations, Michael Bolton, Angela Bofill, Will Downing and Native American flute player Douglas Spotted Eagle, among many others. In the late '80s, Meadows stretched his usual pop/jazz boundaries as a member of a New York avant-garde band called the Aboriginal Music Society. The '90s marked the beginning of his solo career when he signed with RCA on the strength of his unreleased first album. He became a staple of the smooth jazz format with his subsequent recordings, which include For Lover's Only (1991), Keep It Right Here (1993), Body Rhythm (1994) and Forbidden Fruit (1996), Passion (1997), Another Side Of Midnight (1999), Next To You (2000), In Deep (2002), Players Club (2004), Dressed To Chill (2006), Secrets (2009) and Whisper (2013) his current release.

Havana NRG
“NRG” stands for “New Rhythm Generation,” and this youthful Texas group offers up a hot program of timba-influenced salsa to prove that Havana-inspired tropical dance sounds are alive in the Lone Star state. Give much of the credit to Mariela Suárez the band’s music director, who plays both piano and violin. Her talents are complemented by a solid rhythm team, a three-member horn section and lead vocalist Maiquel Romero, who is also the group’s excellent trumpeter”.
